KEM 5 | RUNNING THE TRACKS | VIEW/POST COMMENTS
Why the name of kem5?

"I started writing Kem because I liked the letters. The more pieces I did the more I realized how well the letters flowed. The name itself has no meaning. When I first started writing I had no idea of what all the numbers after the names meant. So of course I just started writing Kem1. After awhile I realized that there were other Kem's out there in the mix so I chose the number five because it's a nice looking number. Some people ask me if it bothers me that there are other Kem's out there. To me a name is just a name but style sets us apart. Every now and then it irritates me when people can't tell styles apart and mix me up with the other Kem's out there."

Buy CD | The Metro - Exposition $9.99

The album sold thousands of units across the U.S, Europe, and Asia. But after the second pressing in 2005, it was shelved due to circumstances beyond his control. Since recording "The Metro" Exposition has gone on to record 3 more albums (one solo, and two with his award winning band Audible Mainframe.) But the people keep asking for "The Metro."

Blending live instruments with hard beats and conscious lyrics, this hip-hop "concept album" follows Expo through A Day in the Life of an everyday Urbanite, riding on the train. When the record initially dropped it received great reviews in such publications as "Beautiful Decay", "Subculture Magazine", and Boston's "Weekly Dig" among others.)

It is sure to satisfy even the most skeptical hip hop fans! The album you all have been waiting for has finally arrived! We have a limited amount of copies that have been autographed by MC Exposition, so get one before they are gone! Since its release in 2003, Exposition's debut album "The Metro" has garnered both critical acclaim, and international fanfare.
